The most effective way to get pregnant is to know your body. First Response has developed the Easy Read Ovulation Test to predict your two most fertile days and help you to get pregnant, faster. 
The test is 99% accurate and works by measuring your LH (luteinising hormone). The hormone can be detected in your urine and levels are increased just before your most fertile time of the month. The hormonal increase is what triggers the release of your egg and the beginning of your stage of ovulation. Once you see a surge in the LH your chances of becoming pregnant increase if you have intercourse 24-36 hours after detection of the hormone. Most women ovulate for 24 to 36 hours once their LH levels have increased.
Evidence of a surge in the LH is indicated by the appearance of two pink lines. Once you have this result you will not need to test again during that cycle

Easy to read and understand. However, I feel that there should be more in a pack (maybe 7) just to cover irregular cycles.

My phone autocorrect a word. It was meant to say "I test for ovulation with THEM alongside..." Not 'tear'

The first response Ovulation kit came with 5 tests and 1 free pregnancy test. If you have a regular cycle an know roughly when you ovulate then it would be perfect for you. But if you have an irregular cycle then you may need more than one pack. I tested for ovulation with tear alongside 2 other types of ovulation tests for comparisons. The Clearblue digital test and a strip dip test from the Internet. The First response always seemed to have a lighter line than the other 2, although these were all still negative. For the test I be considered positive both lines must be the same colour and darkness. I never got that with the first response, the day I did have my LH surge I got a very dark line but it was still lighter than the control line. If I hadn't of used the strip test and the clearblue digital (both of which were positive) then I wouldnt of known that I would be ovulating. I don't think I would buy these because of the small amount of tests in the pack and the uncertainty as to whether it's positive or not.

This is a great kit, it comes with everything you need for the month. I really liked the clear instructions and the fact that it also came with a pregnancy test. I think that it will be easier to use each month you use it, as you can compare your results from last month to determine the darkest line.

I really liked this product. It came with 5 ovulation testing kits and a pregnancy test there was also a £1 off voucher in the box. The instructions were really clear, as ovulation testing is more complecated than pregnancy testing and any line isn't a positave there was a referance picture that came in really useful. I still found it quite dificult to pin point the day I was ovulating because I wasn't sure how dark it needed to be as this can vary from person to person but if I need to test next month I will know for sure which day I am ovulating. I do think however that this kit is very expensive for just the 5 tests if it works it's worth it.
