This well established (1978) dance school was founded on the French dance method developed by Alan and Francoise Chantraine. The syllabus covers all aspects of dance from rhythm and movement (jumping kangaroos or stretching giraffe's), inner awareness (relaxing), technique, creativity, songs and choreography, incorporating different styles of dance, not just ballet. The classes are from 4yrs+ and take place in South and West Hampstead and Kilburn. The classes are taken by Patricia Woodall (the founder) and Kate Green who both trained in the Chantraine way. Parents can attend the first class if necessary, and see the end of term class. They also produce an end of year festival with the whole school.
