We enjoyed our day out at Old Warden. It was fascinating looking at all the planes and reading the information boards (even if they are a little dated to put it politely). There are eight hangars there to look at so there's plenty to see and you can skim past parts of the room if you want to. We did go earlier in the year and it was FREEZING so do take your coats. My husband did comment that it would be great to come when they hare having an airshow there - and this does happen periodically throughout the year (see website for details) but I am of a mind that this will make it busy but of course you would actually get to see those wonderful FLYING MACHINES in action (yes, those old birds are still airworthy)..... There is a nice canteen in the reception area (if a little pricey - so if we went again, we would 'pack our own') and you can also pay extra to gain access to Old Warden Gardens - which are worth every penny. Not least as they have resident peacocks that are our favourites! Recommended.
