St John's Ambulance run FREE first aid courses for 2 hours through healthcentres for new mothers and fathers to help with situations like babies who suddenly stop breathing. You can get more information from the Avon website. They also do first aid courses to cover children from 1 year to puberty. They are a county based organisation so each county varies as to how it aranges it's courses.
