Regents Park, London, London
London Zoo has delighted generations of children and continues to innovate in animal welfare as well as a better visiting experience, so parents in fear of sad-looking animals hopefully will be pleasantly surprised. In the last couple of years the new Gorilla Kingdom walk-through experience and the swampy indoor Rainforest Life areas have given a fresh vitality to the place, and the Animal Adventures space combines a few tunnels and rope swings to play on, landscaped within an enclosure where children can get near to koatis, meerkats and porcupines. Birthday parties catered for too. Open 10am (closing times vary - from 4pm in winter to 6pm in summer).
We strongly recommend you ring London Zoo before you set off on your family day out, to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices. It may also be worth visiting the website for London Zoo ,www.zsl.org, to see if there are any special events on the day for which you may have to book a ticket. Please also be aware that if London Zoo hosts birthday parties, this may limit the access in the cafe/restaurant areas.

We took the children to London Zoo.
There wasn't really one individual thing that they enjoyed most,
They just seemed to enjoy the whole day, and could not stop smiling and shrieking.
A fantastic day out. :-)
