Howletts Wild Animal Park is a 90 acre adventure in beautiful ancient parkland in Kent that's an ideal day out for the entire family. From glass fronted tiger enclosures offering a close encounter with the biggest of cats to gorillas, clouded leopards, monkeys, and hundreds of rare and endangered species from around the world.
They are also home to the UK's largest herd of African elephants and the Black Rhino breeding sanctuary. For a close encounter like no other, Howletts Wild Animal Park allows you to walk alongside, and below, our free roaming family of amazingly agile and lively lemurs with Walking With Lemurs. This Wild Animal Park is ideal if you are going with a pushchair as it is all on one level with the odd slope here and there. It has a good restaurant to get some lunch, but there is also plenty of picnic spots so you can bring your own.
If you are looking for a bit more adventure then try the Tree Top Challenge or a Junior Ranger Day! Fun day out for all the family. Opening times: Summer: 10am–6pm (last admission 4.30pm) Winter: (From 29th October): 10am–5pm (last admission 3.30pm).
We strongly recommend you ring Howletts Wild Animal Park before you set off on your family day out, to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices. It may also be worth visiting the website for Howletts Wild Animal Park, www.aspinallfoundation.org/howletts, to see if there are any special events on the day for which you may have to book a ticket. Please also be aware that if Howletts Wild Animal Park hosts birthday parties, this may limit the access in the cafe/restaurant areas.
