Set next to Roundhay Park, this is a wonderful place to visit when it's cold and dreary. Inside tropical world you'll be whisked off into humid rainforests, tumbling waterfalls - children will love all the exotic birds and plants. If it all gets too wet then head off to the desert and visit the meercats. Don'f forget to visit the Butterfly House. Open daily from 10am-4pm. In Roundhay Park there are cafes, picnic areas and an adventure playground.

We strongly recommend you ring Tropical World before you set off on your family day out, to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices. It may also be worth visiting the website for Tropical World, www.roundhaypark.org.uk, to see if there are any special events on the day for which you may have to book a ticket. Please also be aware that if Tropical World hosts birthday parties, this may limit the access in the cafe/restaurant areas.
