Set within 160 acres of woodland and gardens this wildlife park is ideally suited to young children. There are large, natural looking enclosures for the large animals (Zebras, Rhinos, Lions, Emus, Ostrich, Leopards) with raised viewing areas so that little people can have a good look. They also have walk-through acquariums, insect house, reptiles house, bat house and a petting area in the small farm. All this as well as an adventure playground (not too adventurous) with a tube slide, swings, roundabouts. And when little legs get too tired there's a narrow-gauge railway that takes you round the park. Open between March-Oct 10am-6pm.
We strongly recommend you ring Cotswold Wildlife Park before you set off on your family day out, to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices. It may also be worth visiting the website for Cotswold Wildlife Park, www.cotswoldwildlifepark.co.uk, to see if there are any special events on the day for which you may have to book a ticket. Please also be aware that if Cotswold Wildlife Park hosts birthday parties, this may limit the access in the cafe/restaurant areas.
