Edinburgh Zoo is the largest wildlife attraction in Scotland, with good standards of animal welfare, conservation and environmental education.
In just one day, you can meet over 1000 animals in a beautiful parkland setting on the outskirts of Edinburgh. They have some wonderful activites for you to experience (Budongo Trail, Rainbow Landings, Animal Antics), plus you can also enjoy a wide range of facilities and seasonal events throughout the year.
We strongly recommend you ring Edinburgh Zoo before you set off on your family day out, to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices. It may also be worth visiting the website for Edinburgh Zoo, www.edinburghzoo.org.uk/, to see if there are any special events on the day for which you may have to book a ticket. Please also be aware that if Edinburgh Zoo hosts birthday parties, this may limit the access in the cafe/restaurant areas.
