Travel the world in just one day, and on foot! See thousands of animals, many of them endangered species. Over £6 million has been invested in creating one of the best zoos in the country and giving the animals the homes they deserve. Explore six habitat zones from around the world - scorching deserts, savannah, jungle and rainforests are all represented. Open daily (except Christmas day) from 10am. Closing times vary throughout the season, so please check before each visit.

We strongly recommend you ring Paignton Zoo before you set off on your family day out, to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices. It may also be worth visiting the website for Paignton Zoo, www.paigntonzoo.org.uk, to see if there are any special events on the day for which you may have to book a ticket. Please also be aware that if Paignton Zoo hosts birthday parties, this may limit the access in the cafe/restaurant areas.

My 2 year old daughter loved a visit to Paignton Zoo this summer. My 6 month old son was a little too young to appreciate it. The stinky monkeys were a big hit as were the giraffes. We just loved watching our daughter lap up all the animals!
