Over 40 acres of open countryside housing animals from around the world (three-quarters of which are classified as endangered species). It also is well known for its collection of primates. There are animal trails along the way for smaller children to look at and colouring-in pictures from a special pack bought at the information office. There are three cafés with children's menus, baby-changing and bottle-warming facilities, plus plenty of places to picnic (under cover as well). Open daily from 10am-5.30pm (except Christmas Day).
We strongly recommend you ring Twycross Zoo before you set off on your family day out, to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices. It may also be worth visiting the website for Twycross Zoo, www.twycrosszoo.com, to see if there are any special events on the day for which you may have to book a ticket. Please also be aware that if Twycross Zoo hosts birthday parties, this may limit the access in the cafe/restaurant areas.
