Hereford, Herefordshire
The Broomy Hill Miniature Railway takes you on a ride on their delightful miniature trains while offering something for all the family to enjoy. On their public days they run on the second and last Sundays of the month in Spring, Summer and Autumn. The first train is at noon and the last train is at 4:30pm. The children can visit the clubhouse and interact with the number of displays such as a ''00'' gauge, an archive, museum and photo display. In the garden there is a Garden railway, which is a mini railway. Refreshments are served and there is a picnic area which looks onto the track so you can view the trains go by as you lunch. You can book in advance for birthday parties but do call to find out about fees and times.
We strongly recommend you ring Broomy Hill before you set off on your family day out, to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices. It may also be worth visiting the website for Broomy Hill, www.hsme.co.uk, to see if there are any special events on the day for which you may have to book a ticket. Please also be aware that if Broomy Hill hosts birthday parties, this may limit the access in the cafe/restaurant areas.
