The Tyseley Locomotive Works operates a range of vintage steam trains that run from Birmingham, Henley and Stratford-Upon-Avon. The trains are designed to transport you back to the 1950's with their holiday style trains. The station also runs a Shakespeare Express line during the summer months which takes you on a round trip from Birmingham to Stratford-Upon-Avon which takes about an hour each way. This service will run until the 9th September. The station also operates Tyseley Locomotive open days where the public can view the vast range of steam locomotives as well as view demonstrations of them being fixed and ride on the steam trains themselves. This event will next be held in October. The Tyseley Locomotive Works accepts party bookings and you can book on their website. 

We strongly recommend you ring The Shakespeare Express before you set off on your family day out, to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices. It may also be worth visiting the website for The Shakespeare Express, www.vintagetrains.co.uk, to see if there are any special events on the day for which you may have to book a ticket. Please also be aware that if The Shakespeare Express hosts birthday parties, this may limit the access in the cafe/restaurant areas.
