Historical steam trains are on show on the 25 acres of land at the Buckingham Railway Centre. There is plenty to see from large locomotives to engines. To add to the experience the centre has Thomas the Tank Engine days out in September where kids can pick up lots of Thomas themed goodies at the gift shop and find lots of yummy treats at the cafes. On a regular day the centre is open from 10:30am and you can drive up there as parking is free.
We strongly recommend you ring Buckinghamshire Railway Centre before you set off on your family day out, to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices. It may also be worth visiting the website for Buckinghamshire Railway Centre, www.bucksrailcentre.org, to see if there are any special events on the day for which you may have to book a ticket. Please also be aware that if Buckinghamshire Railway Centre hosts birthday parties, this may limit the access in the cafe/restaurant areas.
