Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway is based in a railway gauge and takes you on a 3 and half mile journey along the foot of the Chiltern Hills, parallel to Icknield Way with delicious views of the Vale of Whiteleaf. Trains generally run out of Chinnor Station and take you on a 7 mile round trip through Thames Junction. In October they have their Halloween Spooks Special and to get you in the festive mood they have Santa Specials in December.
We strongly recommend you ring Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway before you set off on your family day out, to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices. It may also be worth visiting the website for Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway, www.cprra.co.uk, to see if there are any special events on the day for which you may have to book a ticket. Please also be aware that if Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway hosts birthday parties, this may limit the access in the cafe/restaurant areas.
