Clapham Common
One of South London's largest parks stretching between Battersea, Balham and Clapham, this common has multiple facilities for families with young children.
On the Clapham Common (tube) side of the park lies Holy Trinity Church, the Clapham Common paddling pool and many useful cafes and boutiques along the Pavement. Also located on this side are The Rookery Road Cafe, the skate park and Long pond.
On the Balham side of the park, and near Clapham South tube and running along Clapham Common West Side, there are tennis courts, a bowling green, a small cafe and playground as well as space for cricket, rounders and running around.
There's the popular Windmill Pub, accessible from Clapham Common South Side along Windmill Drive, where you'll also find another playground and routes to the central Bandstand.
Popular with runners, dog walkers and many families - do be aware that this is not a fenced park and you do have to keep an eye on toddlers who are prone to running off.
