A Victorian garden paradise of 30 acres, with a treasure trove of plants collected from around the world. There are no set play areas, just acres of gorgeous plants to see and smell, places to picnic, plenty of hiding places and a "knobbly knee tree" to look at! There are also ducks, geese, peacocks and squirrels to watch - and the Melon Yard houses olives and pineapples. There are Tea Rooms, but no baby- changing facilities. Limited access for prams/buggies due to the garden layout (and depending upon the weather), but well worth a visit for the sheer splendour of the plants and flowers on display. Open March-September, Wed-Sun and bank holiday Monday, 11am-6pm, and during October, 11am-4pm (weekends only).
We strongly recommend you ring Spetchley Park Gardens before you set off on your family day out, to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices. It may also be worth visiting the website for Spetchley Park Gardens, www.spetchleygardens.co.uk, to see if there are any special events on the day for which you may have to book a ticket. Please also be aware that if Spetchley Park Gardens hosts birthday parties, this may limit the access in the cafe/restaurant areas.
