An unforgettable experience for everyone, this unique miniature world of make-believe is just waiting to be explored by children and adults alike. Depicting rural England in the 1930s the village also boasts the ultimate train set - an historic Gauge 1 famous since 1929 as one of the largest, most exciting and complex in Great Britain. Refreshments, picnic areas, play area. Open daily 10am-5pm mid Feb-end Oct. Ride on trains (weekends and holidays) or remote controlled boats (small extra charge).

I loved my first ever visit to Bekonscot, last weekend. My 2 year old grandson had his birthday party there, and lucky for us the weather was dreary and wet, so we had the place to ourselves. The weather certainly didn't 'dampen' the day. It is incredible how so much has been crammed into a relativley small area. There is so much to see. Everyone, including the adults, was excited at the constant chug chugging of trains, appearing and disappearing into tunnels. You can even see the fire brigade putting out a fire that has made a huge hole in the thatched roof of a cottage! An absolute 'must' to visit. A fantastic day out.
