The Geffrye was converted into a furniture and interior design museum in1914 and features room sets of different periods from Elizabethan to the present day. They organise activities during holidays and weekends with family Sundays offering model-making, cooking and decorative activities. The restaurant overlooks the gardens where you can picnic. Plus on the first Saturday of every month children can join colourful art workshops for free from 10.30pm-12.30pm and from 2pm-4pm. Open 10am-5pm Tues-Sat, 12pm-5pm Sun. Admission free.
We strongly recommend you ring Geffrye Museum before you set off on your family day out, to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices. It may also be worth visiting the website for Geffrye Museum, www.geffrye-museum.org.uk, to see if there are any special events on the day for which you may have to book a ticket. Please also be aware that if Geffrye Museum hosts birthday parties, this may limit the access in the cafe/restaurant areas.
