Based in the only surviving London house of Charles Dickens (1837-1839), this museum holds the world's most important collection of manuscripts, rare editions, personal items and paintings. The museum cafe, with an outdoor courtyard, serves great food and drinks including cakes from Konditor and Cook. The museum is open daily 10am-5pm (last admission 4.30pm - including on Christmas Day) and is free of under 10yrs.
