Refurbished a couple of years ago, this is a light and airy space that's welcoming for children and adults.  Exhibits include glass cases full of toys and other artefacts from young life through the ages, but there are also plenty of things children can touch and play with.  Dressing up, DIY Punch and Judy puppet shows, a sandpit for little ones, and an amazing sensory corner for babies will charm, as will the rocking horses.  There are daily and weekly activities for all ages (0-12), most are drop-in and free to attend.  During holidays there are extra themed events organised.  Open daily 10am-5.45pm (last admission 5.30pm).
