The Ragged School Museum contains a unique collection of objects telling the story of school life in the East End during Victoria times (Ragged Schools were free for poor children). The café serves light refreshments. Open Wednesday and Thursday 10am-5pm and the first Sunday or the month 2-5pm (when you can attend an original Victorian lesson).
We strongly recommend you ring Ragged School Museum before you set off on your family day out, to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices. It may also be worth visiting the website for Ragged School Museum, www.raggedschoolmuseum.org.uk, to see if there are any special events on the day for which you may have to book a ticket. Please also be aware that if Ragged School Museum hosts birthday parties, this may limit the access in the cafe/restaurant areas.
