If you're looking for a new and healthy activity for your toddler why not consider a session on skates? From 18mths-5yrs toddlers can take to the ice under the care of expert coaches, lots of toys and huge encouragement. Learning balance and co-ordination as well as taking lots of exercise sounds like fun. Parents can enjoy a peaceful coffee in the T&D Cafe Bar or you can join in a skate yourself. If you run a parent and toddler group, get in touch with Matt Bradbury [Tel: 0115 853 3064], who can provide a mini-bus to collect and return up to 14 people for just £5 per toddler/parent. Don't forget there is also Christmas skating in Nottingham's Old Market Square from 21st November to 13th January.
We strongly recommend you ring National Ice Centre before you set off on your family day out, to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices. It may also be worth visiting the website for National Ice Centre, www.national-ice-centre.com, to see if there are any special events on the day for which you may have to book a ticket. Please also be aware that if National Ice Centre hosts birthday parties, this may limit the access in the cafe/restaurant areas.
