Lea Bridge Road, Lee, London
This regional ice rink is a centre of excellence for ice sports in the UK. Since it's opening in 1984 by Olympic champions, Torvill and Dean, the centre offers a combination of free skaing sessions for the general public and individual or group lessons for professional skaters. Half-hourly toddler classes are offered (3-5yrs) during term time and provide a good grounding in basic skating. But there are after school, holiday and weekend lessons offered for older children across figure skating, ice-hockey, synchronised skating disciplines and more.
We strongly recommend you ring Lee Valley Ice Centre before you set off on your family day out, to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices. It may also be worth visiting the website for Lee Valley Ice Centre to see if there are any special events on the day for which you may have to book a ticket. Please also be aware that if Lee Valley Ice Centre hosts birthday parties, this may limit the access in the cafe/restaurant areas.
