Torpoint, Cornwall
Former home of the Earls of Mount Edgcumbe. Miraculously the walls of the red stone Tudor House survived a direct hit by bombs in 1941 and it was restored by the 6th Earl in 1958. Now beautifully furnished with family possessions. One of three Grade I listed gardens in Cornwall within 865 acres of Country Park overlooking Plymouth Sound. There is a carpark and toilet facilities.
We strongly recommend you ring Mount Edgcumbe House & Country Park before you set off on your family day out, to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices. Please also be aware that if Mount Edgcumbe House & Country Park hosts birthday parties, this may limit the access in the cafe/restaurant areas.
