At Tate Modern prepare your eyes for an adventure with Tate Teasers, a series of free trails or the interactive multimedia guide for children. Visit the learning zone, which is packed with inventive activites, or play games and puzzles based around the collection displays. The family Zone has imaginative ways of introducing children to modern art and at the weekends and during holidays the Tate offers free games that encourage children to match images, sort clues and make connections. They have great facilities for families including tasty and healthy meals at the café and restaurant.
We strongly recommend you ring Tate Modern before you set off on your family day out, to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices. It may also be worth visiting the website for Tate Modern, www.tate.org.uk, to see if there are any special events on the day for which you may have to book a ticket. Please also be aware that if Tate Modern hosts birthday parties, this may limit the access in the cafe/restaurant areas.
