A fun day out in the Forest of Bowland, with three different walks around the Wild Boar Park (the shortest one suitable for children), lots of wildlife to look at and picnic places to eat. Especially fun to watch are the wild boar, Longhorn cows and deer u2013 and children can hand feed Llamas, red deer, goats and lambs, and stroke baby chicks. There are also tractor and trailer rides, pedal tractors to play on and a play park. NB Most of the park is suitable for pushchairs but watch out for the hilly paths. There is a café, gift shop and baby-changing facilities. The park is open every day, and the café is open from 10.30am to 5.30pm from Easter to end of October, and from November to Easter from Fridays through to Mondays.

We strongly recommend you ring Bowland Wild Boar Park before you set off on your family day out, to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices.
