The Square, Corfe, Dorset

This is a National Trust Castle perched up on a natural ridge just outside Corfe town. You can also consider incorporating the Swanage steam railway into your expedition. The castle has impressive views across the south coast and is great fun to scamper around. There is a shop, a tearoom and a picnic area. Open daily 10am-6pm.

We strongly recommend you ring Corfe Castle before you set off on your family day out, to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices. It may also be worth visiting the website for Corfe Castle to see if there are any special events on the day for which you may have to book a ticket. Please also be aware that if Corfe Castle hosts birthday parties, this may limit the access in the cafe/restaurant areas.
