There are 210 breeds of pedigree dog and they each have their own unique characteristics so there is plenty of information to consider before making your choice.
The Kennel Club’s annual Discover Dogs event, on 13-14 November 2010 at Earls Court, gives visitors the chance to meet and learn about different breeds so is the perfect place to begin your search.
It will also show you how to find a responsible breeder, who will have cared for and socialised their puppies, saving a lot of heartache in the long run.
Tickets cost £10 per adult (online) and children under 12 are FREE.
