Smithfield House Childrens Nursery

Launching this month is a brand new, purpose built nursery in the heart of the city of London. Equidistant between St Pauls, the Barbican and Farringdon, this 7000 sq ft space has been transformed into a multi-sensory play space for children aged 0-5yrs.

Speaking to the Janet MacGregor, the force behind the project, about her vision for the nursery she was keen to emphasize that children coming to her nursery would become eager learners. “We developed a sensory room for children with additional needs, including light and sound walls, mirror balls and lots of interactive sensory equipment. But all the children will be able to benefit from this experience”.

Janet’s experience of running a nursery in rural Dorset ensures that the nursery has both a homely feel with the modern benefits of 21^st century design. “We take the security of children especially highly and parents are issued with their own access fob.”

An indoor playground and a park across the road from the nursery enables all children to have a healthy, active play experience, as well as homemade food prepared on the premises.
