Fancy a day out on the nations favourite steam locomotive? Kent and East Sussex Railway in Tenterden is hosting a weekend of rides with Thomas the Tank Engine on the 29th and 30th September. You will also have the opportunity to spend some time with Thomas’ friends The Fat Controller and Sir Topham Hatt. The train will depart from Wittersham Road Station and each train ride last one hour.
Kids will be spoilt for choice with the range of different activities on offer; the bouncy castle, roundabout rides, skittles, hoopla, face painting and colouring activities. Your child can become engineer for the day and fill the engine’s boiler with water and earn their Junior Engineer’s Certificate as well as getting a free sticker.
For the musical tots there will be a special sing-song session followed by an extra special coal cake presentation for Thomas. Kids can also visit the Thomas Model Railway Layout and An Imagination Station and you can buy gifts and souvenirs to remember the special day at the Thomas souvenir shop.
Throughout the day you can enjoy Punch and Judy shows. At 3:30pm there will be Uncle Myles and Billy the Magic Rabbits magic show with a balloon modeling show that will be a nice interlude to the Thomas styled activities.
