The Day Baby Was Born
Welcoming a child into the world is a once in a lifetime experience. No two pregnancies are alike, even for the same woman. With that in mind Tommee Tippee has come up with a new service that allows expecting mothers to share their experiences with family and friends and create a keepsake to look back on in years to come.
thedaybabywasborn.co.uk is a free digital storybook that records unique information about your pregnancy and the arrival of your newborn. From the baby announcement to your first ultra-sound, all of the key moments of your gestation can be registered.
The application is seemlessly connected with Facebook, so mothers can post, as much or as little, about their journey. Loving and congratulatory messages can also be imported to the book. Adding a photo album or writting your unborn child a letter are just some of the options you have to make the journal one of a kind.
On the big day itself, you can capture a glimpse of the world by uploading news and events from the Guardian's newsfeed. Families can have fun looking back on what songs topped the charts or who was prime-minister when their baby was born.
Pregnancy is a wonderful but overwhelming time as most mums know. Recording personal moments is not always a manageable task, so a place you can access anywhere is an invaluable tool and easy solution for parents who want to create a special memento.
