Port Lympne Wild Animal & Safari Park, Lympne, Hythe, Kent
0844 842 4647
Home to the largest group of black rhinos and the red panda. But you will be pleased to know that both Howletts and Port Lympne keep their animals in large, natural enclosures, with their keepers being famous (and once tragically) for their close relationship with their charges - so don't be alarmed to see keepers inside the enclosures. Open daily from 10am-6pm (last admission 4.30pm).
We strongly recommend you ring Port Lympne Wild Animal Park before you set off on your family day out, to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices. It may also be worth visiting the website for Port Lympne Wild Animal Park, www.howletts.net, to see if there are any special events on the day for which you may have to book a ticket. Please also be aware that if Port Lympne Wild Animal Park hosts birthday parties, this may limit the access in the cafe/restaurant areas.

Port Lympne, Kent. It was the fist zoo we took our daughter to. She spent the whole time going around making monkey noises as that was one of the only things she could say.
